The Knoxville City Council met in regular session Monday.
Knoxville Mayor Brian Hatch read a proclamation declaring National Police Week, an observance that pays tribute to the local, state, and federal peace officers who have died, or who have been disabled, in the line of duty. The council heard an update from 571 Polson Developments, a consultant hired by the city to give them options on how to proceed with the old VA campus. The presentation from 571 Polson included how the old VA campus could potentially be parceled up and sold, but the process will continue into June. The council passed amendments to the Streets Improvement Project, and passed a resolution on easements for the Knoxville Community Trail Project.
