Marion County Democrats met last Thursday for their annual Cinco de Mayo meeting, and heard from multiple guest speakers.

Candidate for Iowa Auditor Rob Sand, who many know as the prosecutor for the Iowa Lottery Fraud case, and candidate for House District 28 Ann Fields both spent time discussing issues such as immigration, the fetal-heartbeat bill, and bringing efficiency to government while getting rid of wasteful spending. Over 40 people attended the annual event, which generally focuses on ongoing immigration issues in the state of Iowa and on a national level.
