The Rotary Club of Knoxville held their Annual Awards and Recognition lunch Wednesday at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame.

Sixteen $500 scholarships were awarded to Knoxville High School seniors, four students were selected to attend the Rotary Youth Leadership Award Conference, and two students were selected for the Young Rotary Youth Leadership Award Camp. Chair of the 2018 Rotary Scholarship Committee Kevin Crawford tells KNIA/KRLS News that while these scholarships probably won’t make much of a dent in the cost of education, what these students have achieved is important to acknowledge because kids these days are so busy, and to distinguish yourself by being active in the school and community is great.
