The Knoxville Food Youth Initiative will once again be providing summer breakfasts and lunches to all children age 18 and under free of charge.
Verlin Goodyke with the Knoxville Food Youth Initiative tells KNIA/KRLS News he doesn’t see the work the organization does as just giving away food, its helping kids in school because students who haven’t eaten don’t learn as well, so the Knoxville Food Youth Initiative just tries to fill that need and makes things just a little easier every day. Over 2,500 meals were served last summer. A full schedule of when and where the breakfast and lunch meals will be served can be found below.
