The Knoxville softball squad saw some late inning heroics to get past Centerville last night 5-4.

The Big Redettes came out swinging holding a 4-0 lead into the fifth. The Panthers went to work picking up three in the fifth and two in the sixth to seize the win. Hannah Hauschildt led the team at the plate going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI. Jada Agan got the win in the circle going all seven innings giving up 10 hits and four runs.

The Panthers move to 4-3 on the young season and get back on the diamond tonight traveling to Albia (7-1). You can hear all of the action on KNIA and kniakrls.com starting at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show and 7:30 first pitch.

The baseball team also picked up a win on the road over Gilbert 9-7. Kaleb Streigle got the win on the bump. The Panthers improve to 3-4 and also travel to Albia tonight.
