It was a historic season for the Des Moines Area Community College softball team and PCM alums Jayci Vos and Kayla Jennings had something to do with that.
The freshmen were a part of a Bears team that went undefeated in the regular season and finished their 2018 campaign with a 48-2 record with an appearance in the National Junior College Athletic Association Softball World Series. Vos had a solid year at the plate with a .328 batting average including 20 hits, five RBI, and 14 walks. She also showed off her speed with 13 stolen bases to rank fourth on the team. Jennings had a pair of hits on the season including one run batted in and four walks.
The pair led PCM last summer to a 17-13 record and both had a batting average over .450.
