Pella Christian’s boys of summer found themselves in another high scoring game in their split with the Warriors, taking game one 17-12 before losing 10-4 in the nightcap.
The teams traded five-run first innings in the early contest, before Pella Christian scored 3 runs in the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th innings. Senior Kade Vandermolen had 2 HR and 5 RBI on the night. Blake Veenstra, Will Dembski, Devin Haveman, and Matthew Bokhoven each had 2 RBI in the first contest as well. The Eagles softball girls had a rough night overall, falling 13-3 and 12-1 in their doubleheader with the Warriors. Sophie Howerzyl scored two runs between the contests.
Pella Christian will join the Lady Dutch and other area teams at the Lacey Sports Complex today for the Oskaloosa tournament.
