Reading logs are available for children of all ages wanting to participate in the Summer Reading Program at the Pella Public Library.
Youth Services Librarian Katie Dreyer tells KNIA/KRLS News prizes will be given out to participants from infants to teenagers for completing daily reading goals, from parents reading to their babies to teenagers reading for multiple hours a week. Dreyer says it is key for youth of all ages to stay engaged in literacy year-round, especially during summer vacation from school or daycare. In addition to the reading logs, the Pella Public Library is hosting a wide range of weekly activities and special programs in June and July.
