Three weeks into the season and it already seems like a right of passage for a Pleasantville hurler to throw a masterful performance. That pitching success continued on Monday, as Kyle Amendt became the first area player of the year to throw a no-hitter en route to a 4-0 win over Lenox.

The senior was dealing all night and finished the seven-inning game with 13 strikeouts to go along with the zeros across the board. He was able to get it done at the plate as well, producing one hit and one RBI. Colton Major went 1-for-1 with a pair of RBI. In the current eight-game win streak, the Trojans have tossed five shutouts and improve to 8-2 on the season.

In the softball game the Trojans pounded out 12 hits to make quick work of Lenox with an 11-1 win in five innings. Andie Sowers had herself a night going 3-for-3 with three RBI and a pair of runs scored. Mackenzie McGriff and Taylor Foley each had a pair of hits. Faith Vanderhart was solid in the circle giving up six hits and one run in five innings of work. The Trojans snapped a four game losing skid to move to 6-6.

Both teams are back at it tonight hosting Central Decatur.
