The Knoxville City Council met in regular session yesterday.
The council heard a proclamation from Mayor Brian Hatch declaring National Garden Week. The council accepted a bid from ABCreative to build a playground at the Knoxville Recreation Center, approved funds for the Knoxville Fire Department to use memorial funds to purchase new uniforms, approved a bid from Vermeer Group for $2,500 to purchase the property at 502 E Main St subject to a development agreement, and approved a 2% increase in sanitary user charges. The council also went into the closed session to discuss a personnel review.
