The PCM softball team might just get used to winning in walk-off fashion, as they defeated Nevada in a thrilling 9-8 game, their second walk-off hit in a week.

The Mustangs had to comeback twice in the final couple frames, trailing 5-3 in the sixth before taking the lead and then again in the seventh behind 8-7. PCM was able to load the bases up and Madison Foster was the hero with a single to right field to seize the win. Foster finished with a pair of hits and RBI to lead the Mustangs. Maya Hegwood was the winning pitcher going the distance. PCM improves to 2-2 on the season.

In the baseball game, the Mustangs could never recover from a 6-0 deficit early to fall 10-6 to the Cubs. Noah Henkenius sparked a rally in the third with a RBI single that led to a three run inning. Henkenius finished with a pair of hits to lead the team and also took the loss on the bump with five earned runs allowed in 6 1/3 innings of work. The Mustangs drop to 3-3 on the year.

Both teams will get back on the diamond tonight with softball hosting Carlisle and baseball traveling to Eddyville-Blakesburg.
