Christian Opportunity Center (COC) held its 17th Annual Golf Classic at Bos Landen Golf Club Friday.

This year’s fundraising goal is $45,000, with the funding supporting more than 300 people with disabilities in Mahaska, Marion, Polk and Warren counties. Last year’s Golf Classic included more than 100 golfers and raised more than $40,000. The programs benefiting from the Golf Classic include: placement of people with disabilities in jobs in the community, achieving continued diversity in job training at facility sites, providing quality housing for people with disabilities, and providing spiritual retreats for people supported and staff.
