The Pella Community Food Shelf is seeking donations as demand for their service increases in the summer.

Executive Director Melissa Zula tells KNIA/KRLS News they see an uptick in the number of families coming to the food shelf after school dismisses, and at the same time, a decline in food and monetary donations. She says they are also always seeking volunteers to help them organize their inventory and work with the people they serve.

The Pella Community Food Shelf is open on Tuesday mornings and evenings at The Well Resource Center on Oskaloosa Street, and provides food and toiletries to anyone in need.
