The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session yesterday.

The board held a public hearing on and approved a resolution making zoning regulations more clear, accepted the Marion County Treasurer’s semi-annual reports, and approved cigarette license renewals and Marion County Sheriff’s Office appointments. The board also approved a three-year employment agreement and 4% raise for Marion County Engineer Tyler Christian.

Chair of the Marion County Board of Supervisors Mark Raymie tells KNIA/KRLS News the board couldn’t be more pleased to have Tyler continue to be a Marion County employee as he oversees the biggest department with the largest expenditures for the county and he does a great job, and they could not be more pleased to have him work for the county. Christian was hired as Marion County Engineer in 2013.
