The Pella School Board approved numerous resolutions at the first of two summer meetings Monday.

They approved the following:

2018-19 lunch and breakfast fees, which includes a 10 cent increase to the price of lunch
vendor contracts for various food and bread services
a new $130 preschool transportation fee ($65 per semester) to provide transportation for half-day students over the lunch hour
Changes to combine activity tickets for middle school and high school events, and a new family activity pass for all events at any school for any family member ($250)
proposal from the FFA to attend Chapter Officer Leadership Training
employee benefit consulting services
the district employee handbook
changes to the handbooks for all district buildings, including banning the use of handheld technology devices and backpacks in the classroom

Members of the North Mahaska School Board and Superintendent Angela Livezey were also in attendance for observation.
