The Marion County Board of Supervisors met in regular session yesterday.

The board approved a resolution for the 2019 budget, appropriating 95% of the expense budget for each department, not including salary and benefits, with the remaining 5% having to go through board approval if needed. The board approved a special event application for the Knoxville Nationals Parade, a class C liquor license for the Elk Rock Event Center, extended the contract for the Senior Nutrition congregate meal sites, and discussed a request for the use of the local option sales tax revenue to fund the Old Hwy 92 road project, which was tabled until July 24th.
