1997 Central College graduate Darrin Fisher competed last week at the PGA Professional Championship in Seaside, California.

Fisher, who is now the head professional at the Preserve on Rathbun Lake, was in third place after the first round with a 2-under-par 70.

He followed that up with a 75 to make the cut, then faltered with rounds of 78 and 80 to finish in a tie for 71st.

The top 20 finishers in the event qualified for the PGA Championship, which will be played at Bellerive Country Club in St. Louis in August.
