Agriculture is taking over the downtown square this evening for Thursdays in Pella.

The annual Ag in the City highlights the industry with activities, entertainment, displays, and contests from 6 to 9 p.m. Mary Van Zante with Marion County Farm Bureau tells KNIA/KRLS News the entertainment will be centered on the Tulip Toren.

There are two contests for residents to walk up and participate in near the Farm Bureau tent from 5:30 to 6:30, including the tallest corn stalk contest and wheels in bloom. The streets in downtown Pella will close beginning at 3:00 this afternoon.
