The Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department and Indiana Township Rural Fire Department recently underwent vehicle extrication training in Knoxville.
Knoxville Township Rural Fire Department Chief Kenny Thompson tells KNIA/KRLS News its important to train every year because cars are constantly changing and its important to know how to work the different machines that may be required to use to get someone out of a crashed car. Thompson also said the most important thing you can do if you are in a situation where you need to be extricated from a car is to stay calm and let the first responders do their jobs.
