The Rotary Club of Knoxville recently presented Pastor Brent Hanna its highest award, the ‘George H. Andrew Service Above Self’ award.

Club President, T. Waldmann-Williams presented the award, and tells KNIA/KRLS News Hanna exemplifies the qualities and values that Rotary tries to bring such as giving time to the community and being visible and encouraging people to join and help make the community better, and Hanna does all of that and more. Hanna is currently an assistant Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Knoxville, and has served as Club President and chair of many committees.

Previous awardees were also recognized: Will Prather, Tom Schmeh, Howard Aleff, Gary Anderson, Dick Schrad, Kathy Caviness, Harv Sprafka, Jim Butler, Pennie Sommar, Carolyn Formanek, and Abie Davis.
