The City of Pella and project designer RDG discussed the upcoming downtown streetscape planning process Thursday evening.

The design for Pella’s downtown streetscape will create concepts for future enhancements to infrastructure, aesthetics, and wayfinding in the public right-of-way and alleys. Charlie Cowell with RDG tells KNIA/KRLS News they hope the public heavily participates over the next several months to help guide the direction of the streetscape project.

Overall, the design planning process will include several steering committee and public input meetings and be completed by November, with a final presentation made to the Pella City Council for consideration of the final design and phasing timeline for the project.
