Those enjoying 4th of July festivities will do so in hot, humid conditions today.
A heat advisory is in place through 8 p.m. According to the National Weather Service, daytime highs are expected to top out in the low-to-mid 90s, with heat index values climbing over 100 degrees. Those outdoors should stay hydrated, take plenty of breaks in shade or air conditioning, and never leave children or pets behind in cars unoccupied.
