Marion County athletes will join some of the best 2017 high school football seniors at the nanual Shrine Bowl all-star game today in Cedar Falls.
Lucas Warner of Pella, Alex Huisman of Pella Christian, and Hunter Tyree of Pleasantville are among a group of athletes from around the state that spent the week in Cedar Falls preparing for the game and helping raise money and awareness of the Shriners Hospital and their mission.
Players had the chance to visit with Shriners Hospital staff and participate in various events leading up to today’s showcase game between the South and the North, with Marion County athletes on the south team.
In addition to the football players, cheerleaders Elizabeth Bradbury and Taegen Hamer of PCM and the Pleasantville Dance Team will also be represented at the all-star showcase.
The game begins at 4 p.m. today in Cedar Falls.
