You could say the Twin Cedars Softball Squad made quite a turnaround this season. Combining for just six wins the last two seasons, the Sabers posted 13 wins in 26 games in 2018 and contended for the Bluegrass Conference for most of the season. Coach Zach Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports, the infusion of younger players gave the team a new perspective, and the guidance of his upperclassmen wove a fine group together. Dunkin gives a lot of credit to his only senior on the team Hannah Bonnett. Bonnett finished with a 211 batting average 12 hits and eight RBI, but added Dunkin provided a lot of guidance off the field for the younger players.
