Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds Future Ready Iowa plan is an initiative to build Iowa’s talent pipeline and provide education or training beyond high school to earn a living wage.
Reynolds tells KNIA/KRLS News Future Ready Iowa will focus on revitalizing rural Iowa. Reynolds said
“The heart, soul, and spirit of Iowa will always be in our small towns and rural communities. It’s a part of me, and it’s what this entire state is made of. I’ve alway said we are just one big small town. There are a lot of success stories, but there is still a lot of work to do. The initiative will invest in rural Iowa, grow rural Iowa, and connect rural Iowa.”
Future Ready Iowa’s goal is for 70 percent of the state’s workforce to have education or training beyond high school by 2025.
