RAGBRAI is set to pass through southern Jasper County in between overnight stops this week.
The largest touring bike ride in the world will begin in Newton and end in Sigourney tomorrow. Among the local communities identified on the route are Reasnor, Sully, and Lynnville during the afternoon. Additionally, an optional Karra Loop will divert riders to Peoria and New Sharon in Mahaska County, before rejoining the main ride west of Montezuma. Those traveling in the area are reminded to use extra caution and to pay attention and give space to bike riders.
The 46th annual RAGBRAI ends in Davenport Saturday. Additionally, the Pella FFA will have a food stand in Newton throughout today as riders come into town.
