Thousands of race fans converging on the Sprint Car Capital of the World this week for the 58th Annual 5-Hour Energy Knoxville Nationals are invited to see what the Tulip City has to offer.
Pella Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Jill Vandevoort tells KNIA/KRLS News hundreds of visitors are expected to stay in Pella during festivities this week. Vandevoort says the Knoxville Nationals is one of the biggest weekends of the year for local businesses in the Tulip City.
“We do see a lot of economic impact during the event,” she says. “Besides our Tulip Festival, this is probably our biggest event of the year, even though it’s not held right here in Pella.”
