Students who attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards Conference and Young RYLA Camp were recently recognized at a luncheon.
The students, Riley Newendorp, Max Eck, Alex Buckley, Caroline Woodle, Ethan Murra, and Isis Walle, joined by Young RYLA participants Bella Day-Suhr and Norah Pearson, shared their stories and what they learned throughout the process. T. Waldmann-Williams with the Knoxville Rotary tells KNIA/KRLS News there was one common theme throughout, a better understanding of how to communicate with others and how being able to effectively communicate can affect others in a positive way. Park Woodle was the Rotary Volunteer with the students, and Quinlan Robuck was a second year counselor with the camp.
