Local residents are earning honors at the 2018 Iowa State Fair.
Creating award winning scratch baked cookies was the challenge faced by competitors in the Nan’s Nummiest Cookies competition, and in the Frosted Cut Out Cookies division, Brenda Becker of Pella won first place. Becker also ranked among the best cake decorators from across the state in the Decorated Cakes competition, claiming the Sweepstakes honors and placing in five categories.
