The Pella Christian football team held their unofficial kickoff to the 2018 season with their annual media day Saturday.
The event included the official team photo and an intersquad scrimmage as the Eagles prepare for their August 24th opener against Oskaloosa.

Pella Christian Head Coach Rich Kacmarynski tells KNIA/KRLS Sports the biggest strengths of the team this fall may be their defense and skill positions on offense — and they will spend as much time this preseason as they can to build the rest of the team around them.
“I think our defense as a whole will be a strength,” he says. “And I think the back end of defense, our secondary, basically we are returning everybody, so we have a lot of speed back there and a lot of experience.”
Pella Christian had 19 interceptions in 2017, t-2nd with Van Meter in Class 1A.
The Eagles begin the season on August 24th hosting Oskaloosa, which can be heard live on KRLS2 at kniakrls.com.
