Parents making drop-offs and pick-ups at Pella Christian Grade School will notice a new traffic flow at the building following extensive renovation over the summer.
Head of School David Te Grotenhuis tells KNIA/KRLS News there are two main lanes for two types of traffic — and parents should plan to use a loop that starts at the end of Liberty Street, while buses will come in from the intersection of Hazel and Franklin. Additionally, students will have a safe, wide path to walk that cuts between the two lanes of traffic.
“Our bus traffic will now be completely separated from car traffic,” he says.
Te Grotenhuis says they are still working with staff and parents to acclimate to the new flow of traffic, as well as all of the new upgrades in the facility.
Class begins at Pella Christian Grade School Thursday.
