The first High Five Friday took place at Knoxville Middle School Friday.
The idea was started by new Activities Director Ryan Paulsen, and includes high school activity groups lining up at the entrances to the middle school to give each student that enters the building a High Five. Paulsen tells KNIA/KRLS News this idea is a great way to get the middle school kids excited about going to Knoxville and builds a bond between the schools while building school spirit. The Knoxville football team was the first group to participate, with Paulsen saying that the event will eventually include all groups from the High School, not just the athletic teams.
