A Knoxville woman was arrested on theft charges after stealing from her place of work.
According to court records, Knoxville Police were dispatched to a gas station where Tina Brown ,52, had confessed via written note to stealing 12 packs of cigarettes per week for 15 weeks, as well as several candy bars. Brown told police that she wrote the note willingly, and stated that she stole because she felt cheated by the store out of a promotion and a raise. After being arrested, Brown confessed that she had marijuana and a pipe in her possession. Brown was charged with theft in the second degree, a class D felony, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
