In a makeup from last week, the PCM and Melcher-Dallas cross country teams traveled to Colfax-Mingo last night for a meet.
Melcher-Dallas fans are used to seeing J’Lyn Knutson dominating meets and last night was nothing different, as she won her third competition of the year in 22:09. The only other Saints runner was Doramae Bennett finishing in 72nd. The PCM girls had a solid showing finishing third out of seven teams with 74 points while Collins-Maxwell won with 41 points. Klaire Jungling crossed the finish line one minute behind Knutson and finished second on the day. Megan Townley was not far behind in fourth and Kirstin Ives placed 25th.
On the boys’ side PCM placed fourth out of 10 teams with 141 points. Ogden ran away with the crown with 57 points. Jason Stafford paced the Mustangs in seventh and Beau Webb nabbed a top ten finish in tenth. Emery Sage headlined the Saints’ day placing second in 18:27 and Ryan Krpan was 26th.
PCM will get back on the course Thursday at Pleasantville and Melcher-Dallas will travel to Lynnville-Sully.
