Numerous campgrounds at Lake Red Rock and in state and county parks will be closing for the season soon.
Park Ranger Tracy Spry with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tells KNIA/KRLS News full access to many of the campgrounds will be closing beginning September 24th.
Whitebreast, Wallashuck, North Overlook, and Ivan’s Campgrounds will be shut down for the season on the date, while Howell Station remains open until October 15th.
In the county, Marion County Park closes on October 28th, as does Cordova and Roberts Creek West Campgrounds. Roberts Creek East will close on October 14th.
All will reopen sometime next April.
