As with many cross country teams across the state, mother nature has not been kind to PCM and has washed out numerous meets throughout the year.
The Mustangs’ one home meet of the year was scheduled for last week before they moved it to Tuesday due to the weather. The weather didn’t hold up on Tuesday either and forced a cancellation. Coming into the year the Mustangs cut back on meets, only having six scheduled before the cancellations occurred. Despite the limited competitions, head coach Eric Karr is still confident choosing to cut back on meets is paying off for his team.
“I feel very confident in our training right now and feel confident about cutting back on our meets. In the Pleasantville meet we had 20 out of 28 kids record a lifetime personal record and that can’t be a coincidence.”
As of right now, PCM will have to wait until October 8th to get back on the course when they battle for conference.
