The Central College football team made big-play after big-play, leading to a 62-20 rout of Buena Vista Saturday in a game heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

After surrendering a 14-play 65-yard touchdown drive to the Beavers to open the game, the Dutch returned the ensuing kick into B-V territory, and found the end zone in 80 seconds to tie the game.  After stopping Buena Vista, another big special teams return gave Central the lead for good as Hunter Robinson returned a punt to the B-V four, fumbled, and had it scooped up by Connor Lewin on his way into the end zone.

The Dutch built a 28-7 halftime lead and were up 49-7 before the reserves took the field for both teams.

Central quarterback Blaine Hawkins set a new school record for completion percentage by going 16-of-17 for 206 yards and four touchdowns.

The Dutch improve to 5-0 for the first time since 2009, and will travel to Lincoln to battle Nebraska Wesleyan next Saturday.
