The Pella Public Library is hosting a program to explore the themes of Disney films with a program this evening.

They will welcome Ashley Scolaro, Assistant Professor of Psychology at Central College, as she presents: “Disney Ate My Children!: The Magic Kingdom’s Hidden Messages about Love and Life.”

Scolaro tells KNIA/KRLS News children love stories and the Disney Corporation has mastered the art of storytelling, and her presentation will consider why everyone should be mindful of messages in children’s films and how to talk to kids about those messages. The program will take place at 7:00 this evening in the Library Meeting Room. It is free and open to the public, but may be most of interest to those high school age and older.
