The Knoxville Chamber’s autumn edition of Business After Hours brought members to Bertrand Monument for the quarterly party; and members saw examples of the company’s work in engraving.

The company on South Highway 14 displayed several examples of its headstones and monuments for attendees to see; but Knoxville Chamber Executive Director Hannah Vander Veer tells KNIA/KRLS News their engraving work involves everyday items, as well.

“They do a lot of stuff; not just funeral service arrangements and things like that, but they do a lot of engraving for plaques and mailboxes,” says Vander Veer. “Wine glasses, beer glasses, fun stuff like that.”

Vander Veer says like many other chamber members, Bertrand Monument has strong ties to the community; she says they were happy to host this event, giving fellow Chamber of Commerce members the chance to meet and get to know each other in a casual atmosphere.
