The tailgate party at Hy-Vee for the Knoxville Music Boosters brought in over $800 to help support the school district’s music programs.

The party on Friday prior to the Homecoming football game was hosted by Hy-Vee, which not only gave over its facilities but provided and prepared the food. Music students from the middle school helped serve the guests.

The proceeds will go towards paying for new musical instruments; the district’s current stock of instruments is aging and in need of replacement…and there has been an influx of new students, so extra ones are needed.
