Police say a Grand Junction woman was arrested after trying to sell marijuana to an undercover officer and also being in possession of a false drug tax stamp.
Nineteen-year-old Cheyenne Spurgeon-Sparks was taken into custody on Tuesday night in the 800 block of West Bell in Knoxville.
Undercover officers with the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force say they arranged the sale of marijuana with Spurgeon-Sparks; she reportedly showed up at the location with a green leafy substance, drug paraphernalia and a digital scale. The substance is said to have tested positive as marijuana.
Besides the felony count for having a false drug tax stamp, Spurgeon-Sparks is charged with two controlled substance violations, possession of the drug paraphernalia and no valid driver’s license.
