A threat for severe weather and heavy rain is in place today, according to the National Weather Service.

A slight risk of severe thunderstorms and moderate risk of heavy rainfall is in place, as a flood watch continues until Wednesday morning. An additional 1-2” of rain is expected throughout most of the region, with higher amounts possible depending on the track and intensity of thunderstorms.

The severe threat is mostly isolated to late this evening, with strong winds as the primary threat.

A flood warning continues through Wednesday morning for most of Marion County. White Breast Creek and English Creek were well above flood stage overnight into early this morning.
