The kicking game was one of few questions needed answered for the PCM football team coming into the season. With a district championship wrapped up and an 8-0 start to the year, that question has been answered.

First year sophomore kicker Andrew Mitchell has been the missing puzzle piece, as he has connected on 28 of his 30 point after touchdown attempts on the year and made his first field goal last week from 22 yards out. Head Coach Greg Bonnett tells KNIA/KRLS Sports they are fortunate he came out midseason.

“I am very impressed the way he is kicking. There is some pressure off the edges on the PATs and that doesn’t rattle him at all. I watch his form and technique and it’s perfect. Thank goodness that kid came out.”

Mitchell and the Mustangs will close out the regular season Friday hosting Centerville.
