Consultants with RDG Planning and Design will make a presentation to the Pella City Council about the upcoming downtown streetscape project at Tuesday’s meeting.

They will unveil the proposed overall concept for the project, including which streets will be replaced, key recommendations for design and what to include, initial cost estimates, and the phasing of the overall timeline. RDG will also discuss findings collected during numerous public engagement events, including a visual preference survey and design studio open sessions held this summer.

The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday. An open house for the Pella Downtown Streetscape will be held on Thursday, October 25th from 6 to 7:30 pm at the Public Safety Complex on Liberty Street. Following that feedback, a final report will be made to the council at their meeting on November 20th.
