The Bravo Concert Series opens its season with a performance by a country band on the rise; Farewell Angelina is set to perform on Thursday, October 25th at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center.
The all-female quartet takes its name from a song by Bob Dylan; it has opened for or otherwise worked with a number of major acts. Randy Flack tells KNIA/KRLS News there’s a definite buzz about the group’s future.
“Just some of the things that people are saying about them, they’re just a superstar act with killer songs,” Flack says. “Rolling Stone magazine has listed them as one of the top ten new country acts that you just have to see.”
Along with their scheduled performance, the band members will be holding a workshop during the day with high school students. Flack says this is one aspect they always try to include with every performers’ appearance, using the opportunity to enhance students’ education.
