The board also approved destruction of a trailer at 210 South Douglas street.
A vote passed to approve the Iowa DOT’s funding agreement for improvements to Jasper Street. The City will be receiving $250,000 for the project. A $1,500 supplemental agreement with Snyder & Associates for the company’s work on the Jasper street project passed by a unanimous vote. A $20,000 bid from Acujet for safety inspections on water mains and service connections in the Jasper Street area passed unanimously as well.
A public hearing was then set for the next city council meeting regarding designation of the Jasper Street Urban Renewal Area and the Urban Renewal Project. The council will next meet on November 19th, at 5:30 p.m inside the Pleasantville City Council Chamber.
