Pella Christian High School’s award-winning musical theater group presents Oklahoma!this Thursday through Saturday.

Actor Colby DeVries tells KRLS News the production set in the early 20th century tells the story of crossed up lovers through music and dance.

“There’s just a lot of love triangles basically, and a lot of drama trying to sort itself out,” he says.

Jocelyn Gritters says the show has heavily involved choreography as well, and coupled with the music, provides a challenge of conveying emotion through music.

“I think (audiences) should come because the dancing is incredible,” she says. “It is one of the most challenging parts, but because it’s challenging, it’s going to be even that much better. There’s ballet and tap and just so many different styles of dance–and it you put it with singing and acting,d it’s going to make for a great musical.”

Three shows are scheduled at 7:00 each evening in the Pella Christian High School Vermeer Auditorium. Reserved tickets are available for purchase in the main office by calling 628-4440.
