The Simpson women’s soccer team couldn’t overcome an aggressive Kohawk team last night, falling 3-0 and getting knocked out of the postseason tournament.
Both teams came in at 2-5 with 6th place in the American Rivers Conference on the line, but fell behind early and couldn’t recover while the Kohawks got 20 shots to the Storm’s 1. The Storm men won convincingly against the winless Kohawks, scoring early and often 8-0. Both Spencer Young and Seth Bownman scored a pair of goals, which locks the Storm into the American Rivers Conference postseason tournament. The Storm volleyball team fell to Graceland University 3-0, falling 25-19, 25-21, and 28-26. Simpson is now 8-17 overall and next play at Augustana of Illinois on Friday.
