The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is temporarily moving out of the courthouse soon, as county departments still in the courthouse vacate their offices preparing for the courthouse to be replaced.
Warren County voters passed a bond referendum funding the new courthouse in August with 69% approval, with the county spending over $29 million to do so. Warren County Sheriff Brian Vos tells KNIA News the new there will be several locations the sheriff’s office will work out of
“Here in the next month or month in a half, our dispatch that is currently on the third floor of the courthouse will be moved to the administration building. The sheriff’s office will move to the west end of town, 1801 W 2nd Ave suite B, where we will book in people who are brought to jail and run our normal daily business.”
The new courthouse will house both the Warren County courts and a law enforcement center including a jail and offices.
