Families First of Pella is holding a book bash to promote literacy among youth.
An event will be held on Saturday from 10 to 11:30 at the Pella Public Library. Activities include story time, songs, pumpkin crafts, candy corn toss, and more. The first 100 families who arrive will receive a free copy of the book “You Are My Pumpkin.” The event is free to attend, and recommended for kids in kindergarten and younger. Families First of Pella holds the event as part of their Early Literacy Mentoring Association program, which encourages all parents to read frequently to their children, even as infants.
